Kids town is a new approach to children's ministry.
It combines traditional Sunday School and Children's
Church into a unique home town experience for kids
in kindergarten through 5th grade.
Designed and decorated to resemble a small town,
six activity centers provide a variety of formats
for active children, yet are coordinated to a
central, weekly lesson.

Kids Town Centers
In the SCHOOL HOUSE, age-appropriate lessons are taught
with interesting stories and hands-on visual aids.
The BOWLING ALLEY builds a solid Biblical foundation in
young minds using memory work, Bible drills, and fun learning
activities.
The ART STORE is where children create arts and crafts
projects keyed to each week's lesson.
The CHILDREN'S CHAPEL is where children learn to worship
God on their own level with their own style of music.
The CAFE provides a mid-morning snack for hungry citizens
of Kids Town.
In CHOICES, kids may choose from several activities or
participate in a group activity linked to the day's lesson.
Growning God's Kids
The mission of Kids Town is to make and mature disciples
for Christ among children and their families. The curriculum
was produced by Gospel Light Publishing. Lessons, activities,
crafts, and worship are all coordinated to teach children
how to apply the fruit fo the spirit in their own lives.
Galatians 5:22-23 is our text for this year's program:
"But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace,
patience, kindness, goodness, gaithfulness, gentleness,
and self-control. Against such things there is no law."
When is Kids Town?
9:30 am to 11:45 am each Sunday, except 5th Sundays of the
month. On 5th Sundays, children attend adult worship with
their families.
Who runs Kids Town?
Kids Town is a ministry of First Christian Church of Longwood
and is staffed by volunteers from the church.
How do the centers work?
Everyone begins together at 9:30 am then breaks into age-appropriate
groups for rotation through each center. Each center runs
about 20 minutes. While one group is in the Art Store,
another group may be in the Schoolhouse, for example.
How do I enroll my children in Kids Town?
Simply come. There is no cost to participate and your
children may be enrolled on their first visit.
